There is a small space between the even and the odd warps because the warps are arranged, which is called shedding. Through the shed, weaver passes the colored weft threads. To create the second shed, the weaver can pull them forward and backward by attached the alternate warps to drawstrings. By using this method, the weft is passed back again. The weaver inserts the weft over one warp and under the next in another direction and then back to the opposite direction over and under the alternate warp by passing the weft back. And then the weaver periodically beats down the creation of the web so that it is completely covered by the weft. Nowadays twisted wool is used for making this weft threads. But at past, the finer tapestries used the silk and gilt-metal-wrapped silk. Weft colors are varied. Because of color, the weavers can create a pattern or figurative image.
